Read 1 Kings 18:20-39

God is real. That’s simple for us, right? Not so much. God is a person: He has feelings and presence. He’s real.

God has character, and it’s far bigger than we know. How much do you really know about God? Do you understand His justice, mercy and sovereignty? He’s in control, and He is real.

God calls us to follow Jesus’ example. We are called into action by Him. We are called to be His witnesses. The least of these cannot be overlooked or forgotten. We are His lights in the world. God is real.

God forgives us and makes us His new creation. We are now the person God wants us to be. He doesn’t see our flaws or faults anymore, only the things we don’t have yet (The Jesus Experience). He only sees what we have yet to attain–trust, hope, intimacy, etc. And He longs to help us get to it. God is real.

God has planted us right where we need to be. We have been given our families, friends, church, circle of influence, neighbors, opportunities, talents, abilities, resources, time spans, and locations for a reason. He has a plan. God is real.

God is with us. Even when we can’t feel His presence or hear His voice the way we want to, He’s there. He holds us and carries us when we’re weak. He holds us perpetually. He is right beside us, in us, surrounding us, completely saturating us with His presence, even if we feel unworthy. God is real.

God is so much more. There is so much more to discover about God’s character. What does it take to grow closer to Him and see Him more clearly? Pushing you aside and making room for Him. We tend to have these pre-packaged notions that we can gage our relationships with God by how we feel, but we can’t. No matter what you’re feeling, honestly, God loves you and is with you, and He wants to do life with you. He’s just waiting for you to want that too. It’s all about God, not us. He paid the price for our freedom and forgiveness; He’s not waiting for us to prove our piety to Him but waiting for us to admit our love for Him and our desire for Him to do life with us. God is real.

God is just and merciful. He sent Jesus because He loved the whole world. Those who accept Jesus’ sacrifice for them and become children of God will be saved. But those who don’t will not be saved. God is real for that person who knows Him and that person who doesn’t. We should be out there testifying: God is real.

“Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” Isaiah 2:3

Thank You God that You are real! Forgive us for every time we’ve acted like You aren’t! Please teach us Lord, instruct us in the way we should go! You are our God, Savior, and Father! Please remind us it’s all about You and not us! In Jesus’ Name i pray, Amen! Let You be praised God!
